The difference between testosterone propionate and other forms of testosterone with longer esters attached (most common are enanthate and cypionate) is the relatively very short half-life of this anabolic steroid. It means that if you inject, say, cypionate once a week, you’ll need to inject the propionate every two or three days. Frequent injections damage the skin and are obviously bothersome. On the other hand, you can easily stop the therapy if you experience serious unwanted side-effects. With testosterone propionate you are simply in charge of the cycle. Another specific attribute of this compound is that unlike other forms of testosterone, propionate is often used successfully in the cutting cycles in order to retain the muscle-mass (or to minimize the losses). It is also known to cause less water retention than enanthate/cypionate.

In all other aspects, this is first of all a testosterone and expresses itself as such. Strongly anabolic, strongly androgenic and fairly estrogenic on top of that. Perfect for gaining mass, but not safest to use, at least in terms of estrogenic and androgenic side-effects and HPTA inhibition.
